Testing My Patience.....

This is what has been testing my patience lately.
I call this pattern" Grandmothers Quilted Afghan.."
The pattern was designed by Lissa Alexander and was featured in the American Patchwork & Quilting magazine October 2010.
Many of you no doubt have the " crotchet version"
As you can tell the outside border is all done on the bias, and comes to a corner on a miter.
I sew it on and take it out....on and off until I am happy where it meets. if I would only do it the way the pattern shows there would be no problem.
I usually change it up though....and this time was no exception.
It is just making it more difficult to fit. I am happy with it finally..
I LoVe the fabrics I used.
There is one more dark outside border to go on and then it will be off to the quilter.
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.....
Spring must be on its way...I saw two robins today!
Take care...

  3. Oh my - this quilt looks exactly like a crocheted afghan - it's wonderful - what a challenge that outer border must have been. Congrats on a great finish!
